Join LWVSC
The LWV South County is a local chapter of the LWVUS and the LWVRI. Join us to help strengthen democracy in our towns, our state, and our country. Citizen participation in self rule is vital in a strong democracy.

Our members are volunteers who work year-round to register new voters, host community forums and debates, and provide voters with election information they need. We engage at the local and state levels on legislative priorities and efforts to improve our elections and protect our democracy.

Meetings
Deputy Secretary of State Rob Rock to speak
We hold quarterly LWVSC general meetings in person. These meetings feature an educational program on a current topic, followed by a formal business meeting. These meetings are open to the public.
We are also currently holding three area meetings at least quarterly, but also on an as needed basis: 1)Chariho, 2)Westerly, and 3)NK/SK/Narragansett to maintain strong communications and involvement of members in all towns.

Most of the work of the LWVSC is conducted in committees. Each Executive Board member chairs a committee of member volunteers. These committees meet as needed to plan and complete the tasks.
Rob Rock has been the Richmond, RI Town Administrator, RI Director of Elections, and is now serving as Deputy Secretary of State, He brings us up to date on the status of elections in RI.
